Local author Jennifer Kavanagh will be talking about her first novel and about her work as a literary agent at an event at Marylebone Library this month.

Kavanagh, who lives in Langham Street Fitzrovia, will read from her first novel, The Emancipation of B, and talk about moving from her work as a publisher to writing her own, and the difference between writing non-fiction and fiction.

Having worked for nearly 30 years in publishing, including 18 years as a literary agent, she now concentrates on her own creative work. In the last 12 years she has written seven non-fiction books, including The Failure of Success, Journey Home, and Small Change, Big Deal: Money as if people mattered.
