Spirit of the 2013 Great Titchfield Street Festival captured on film

http://vimeo.com/69433376 By News Reporters A short film has been made of this year's Great Titchfield Street Festival which was held in June as part of the London Festival of Architecture (LFA). Every year the LFA explores London’s built environment and promotes how architecture creates positive change and improvement within the city.

Made by Rataplan Films for Gleeds, who provided pro bono project management and health & safety advice for the Festival, the film contains interviews with the festival organiser Laura Broderick of Riba, and members of the architecture and design practices in Fitzrovia.

The film also shows many of the activities that took place on Saturday 22 June when part of the street was closed to motor traffic and brought to life by architects, engineers, residents, musicians and local businesses for the first ever Great Titchfield Street Festival.

Elsewhere in Fitzrovia architecture practices hosted a range of events including open studios as part to the Fitzrovia Trail. The long-running Fitzrovia Festival also took place — celebrating 40 years since the first festival — with a series of events organised by the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association.
