Richard Durrant is a leading interpreter of Agustin Barrios's music, and Barrios has been praised by John Williams as the best guitarist-composer of all time.
This year Durrant became the first international artist to launch an all Barrios album in Paraguay and he is recognised worldwide as a leading interpreter of Barrios’ guitar music.
Durrant has also performed frequently as a guest soloist with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

All proceeds from the show will be donated to KO’EJU, a small Christian charity that cares for the street children of Asuncion . Ko’eju means “Dawn” in Guarani – the language of Paraguay. Ko’eju works with children in the Chacarity, a shanty town in the outskirts of Asuncion . They provide lunches, vocational training and counselling, and also run a weekly surgery for pregnant women and children. And also to the restoration of the IMA (Instituto Municipal the Arte – The Municipal Arts School which burned down on 30th April 2011).
