Mike Pentelow – editor and features editor. Mike moved to Fitzrovia in the early 1970s, from Essex where he was a trainee journalist on the Thurrock Gazette. He has worked as a sports writer and industrial correspondent. Since 1989 he has been a reporter for the Transport and General Workers Union Magazine. He is the author of two books: Characters of Fitzrovia (co-written with Marsha Rowe) and A Pub Crawl Through History: The Ultimate Boozers’ Who’s Who (co-written with Peter Arkell).
Linus Rees – assistant editor. Linus has lived in Fitzrovia since 1992. He is a graduate of politics and sociology. Linkedin.
Pete Whyatt – news editor and production editor. Pete has lived in Fitzrovia since the mid 1980s. He is a musician and a connoisseur of good food.
Fiona Green – arts and listings editor. Fiona has lived in Fitzrovia since the 1960s. She is a teacher and a trustee of the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association, and a member of the Charlotte Street Association.
Brian Jarman – writer and sub-editor. Brian began his journalistic career on The South Wales Argus as reporter and chief feature writer. He then worked for the BBC for 22 years, mainly at the World Service making current affairs programmes. He’s now writing novels, and has lived in Fitzrovia for fourteen years.
Barb Jacobson – associate editor. Barb was born in the United States and now lives in Finsbury with her son. She is secretary of the Thomas Paine Society and active in the campaign to Save Finsbury Health Centre. She is a community development worker for the Fitzrovia Neighbourhood Association’s Older Fitzrovia project.
Jennifer Kavanagh – associate editor. Jennifer is an author and former literary agent. She also works with microcredit programmes in Africa and facilitates conflict resolution workshops for Alternatives to Violence (AVP), both in prison and in the community. She has her own website o-of-home.co.uk
Jess Owens – associate editor. Jess has published on poetry, literature and politics in a number of scholarly publications. Books about the Conscientious Objector Poets of WW1, and Thomas ‘Clio’ Rickman are ‘on the way’. Occasionally, he will also give talks on verse. He has been associated with Fitzrovia, off and on, for a number of years.
